COVID-19 FINANCIAL IMPACT ON THE WATER AND SANITATION UTILITIES

Objectives

The aim of this panel is to enable panelists to share their challenges and experiences in terms of impacts and resilience solutions in the overall financial management their utility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also be a matter of sharing their perspectives as it is more and more a question of living with this pandemic in the medium term. Finally, the panelist will make suggestions on what could be done to improve the overall financial situation of water utilities.

Expected results

At the end of the panel, participants will be able to assess the impacts and solutions being considered for the financial management of water and sanitation utilities in this COVID-19 period ; Take advantage of the experiences presented, and guide their operations differently.

Participants to this session will have a better understanding of the major financial management challenges of water and sanitation operators that could jeopardize their running,as well as concrete and appropriate African solutions that will help to improve business performance in the current situation.
