On behalf of the African Water Association (AfWA), of which “Office National de l’Eau et de l’Assainissement du Burkina Faso” (ONEA) is a member, an AfWA delegation went to express the official condolences of the Association to the Executive Management of ONEA, which had lost one of its staff members in May 2017.
Outside a meeting held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the AfWA delegation composed of the Executive Director of AfWA, Sylvain USHER, the Coordinator of AfriCap program, Gilles DJAGOUN, and the Communication Manager, Olivier KONAN, went to the Head Office of ONEA in Ouagadougou on June 1, 2017 to show the sympathy of AfWA to the whole ONEA family following the death of Mrs. OUEDRAOGO Téné Georgette. ONEA was represented on this occasion by its Secretary General, Mamadou SANOU.
It should be noted that the late Georgette OUEDRAOGO served in her capacity as a Personal Secretary at ONEA and a National Secretary of the AfWA Committee of Burkina Faso. AfWA has lost a great woman full of commitment, a loyal member of water community activities, and especially an important resource for gender promotion in the water and sanitation sector in Africa, especially in Burkina Faso.
