Within the framework of the preparations of AfWA Scientific and Technical Council meetings scheduled from July 27th to 31st 2015, in Douala, in Cameroon, the local organizing committee and a delegation from AfWA Executive Office met on Saturday, July 25 for a technical meeting.

Arrived the day before in the economic capital city of Cameroon, AfWA delegation, which was led by the Executive Director, Mr. Sylvain Usher, could discuss with the organizing committee, chaired by Mrs. Geraldine Mpouma, about the device set up to ensure a meeting to be carried out within the best conditions. The Scientific and Technical Council meeting is jointly organized by the CDE and CAMWATER, and is related to water quality and management of the infrastructures for a better access to water and sanitation services. About 130 delegated are expected to attend this work. The Organizing Committee set up 6 commissions, namely: reception, communication, secretariat, entertainments, logistics and AfWA Days. It ensured that everything was ready to accommodate the delegates.

In addition to this adjustment meeting, the coordinator of the Young African Professionals of Water and Sanitation program met the local committee of Cameroon in order to discuss on the activities of the Cameroon young professionals. He also presented the program he is in charge of to them, before mentioning the next forum of the young professionals which would be held in prelude of the Nairobi Congress, in February 2016.
