Intermittent Water Supply Specialist Group (IWS SG)

The IWS SG aims: to better understand why IWS exists, how it is managed and what the consequences for the users are; how to apply, in a simple and practical manner the existing body of knowledge in managing networks to utilities with intermittent supply; to document and disseminate existing experiences in IWS and to develop methodologies to improve water supply conditions (both quantity and quality).

This conference aims to advance the knowledge and share experiences on Intermittent Water Supply (IWS) and to frame the problem of IWS within its technical, institutional, financial and social contexts. It will provide an opportunity for water researchers, engineers and experts from academia, industry, governments and water utilities to exchange experiences, and knowhow on how to improve conditions under IWS and on how to develop methodologies to improve and transition to continuous supply.
